Ceramic brake and rotor questions

I have a 2000 SL500 with 25K miles that I drive daily to work, etc.

At some point I would like to go with Ceramic brakes.
Here are my questions.

1) Is it suggested that I do both front and rear brakes?
2) Which is the better pad and why? Front pad pricing?
a. Akebono
b. Mintex
c. Porterfield
d. Hawk
e. Bosch
3) How should these brakes be broken in?
4) Do I need to have the rotors turned when replacing present pads?
5) If I go with new rotors would I be better off with slotted vs. flat surface?
I have the AMG Monoblock rims.
