My 300E has 8-hole chromies, so I could be interested...are the wheels any different on the 500E than the 300E? I'm running 195-16s right now.

I work for FedEx, so I wouldn't have a problem sending you a shipping label to shoot one of those over...

G- thanks for the message.

From what I've read in the Tires and Wheels forum, the 500e/e500/sl500/500sl 8-hole chromies are a bit too wide for the 300e application since they are 16x8....225/55/16 (stock)

...although (stock) they may bolt-on and work for only the back on the 300e (in a staggered set-up)...may look pretty trick to have staggered set-up of 8-hole chromies!

if you are running 16s right now, the key question we should answer is, "Is the rim width 6.5", 7.0", 7.5", or 8.0"??? (with/ without fender roll or lowering) , if you currently have an 8" wide and are not experiencing problems, we should then seek to compare offsets between your current wheels and 500e chromies.....if all checks out OK, then it would be a safe bet to proceed

fyi- I'd like to pass these rims on super cheap to help a member here at Mercedesshop, since I was helped also by a Mercedesshop-type

If you are still interested, maybe a call to Luke at Tire Rack using his 800# will be the painless way to find the critical info we need. The rims are really nice and clean since I've detailed the hell out of chrome (no black shiny stuff placed on the tires).

What's your e-mail address, I'll send pics.
