Convertible top on 107 squeaks and creaks

I was wondering if the convertible top on anybody else' 107 squeaks and creaks when the car goes over bumps. Seems to me that mine has gotten a lot worse over the summer, now that it's back up most of the time.

Lube all the joints. Thankfully R107s are easy to access.

That worked :-) I guess I should have thought of it myself. But the creaks seemed to be coming from the cross-members, evidently because they were transmitting the sound from the joints. In any case, WD-40 did the trick.

If you have to do it again I'd suggest not using an oil based one as it's hard on rubber/plastic. Plus WD40 might overpower the great cabin smell these cars have. There's other spray ones or types that come out like toothpaste.
