1984 380 SL air condition not working

My AC has not worked since the day I got it. Most of the problems with the car, at that time, were resolved when I replaced all the fuses in the fuse block, except the AC.
Is there an inline fuse to the compressor or the climate controller I can't find or a connector that may be broken?
I also figure that there is probably a pressure switch that I can't find. Any ideas where that is located?
I don't know if there is any refrigerant in the system, either.
