Brake Noise and flasher issues on my 560SL!

At low speed (1-5mph) driving, my new brakes emit a loud foghorn-like rubbing noise when applied. It's so loud, that drivers of other cars turn their heads. I have new rotors, pads and calipers all around. The shop inspected and found nothing. Has anybody experienced this?

ALSO

My exterior lamp failure light is on. It is alerting me to the imminent failure of one of my flashers. Where's the flasher module for the directionals?

Hmmm..... Drive faster?

Seriously, did you use OE/OEM rotors, calipers and pads? MB brake paste? Is this happening at all 4 wheels?

Did you leave the parking brake on? Are they adjusted too tight? How many clicks does it take to push the pedal all the way down?

Did the pads have the correct amount of anti squeel paste applied??

Your light indicates that one of the bulbs is about to burn out. the resistance is changing. Check the bulbs and see which one is the darkest. That one is about to go. Replace it, or both and see if the light stays out.

Parking brake clicks once. Flasher flashes double time. I don't know about the anti squeal paste.

I'd guess that your parking brake is too tight. On the 560SL, you're supposed to get two clicks (which seems like too few to me). I think the 126 chassis is supposed to be four clicks. It's listed in the Maintenance manual if you have it.
