Hmm, keep tryin' ace, I've heard the best defense is a big offense, no? You come on a Mercedes forum, diss the crap out of the car, and call me angry? Get a grip, and go away.

This thread has got to be the biggest waist of disk space I've come across!

Mr Moderator - please just delete it so that we can all get on with life...

Mr. Moderator, please remove the offensive posters. They have posted plenty of offensive FX45 and Crossdresser comments. If its a waste of space, go to another space and let our freedom of speech be exercised. There is happiness on other threads. take your anger there

Hey Guys,

Don't know what all the fuss is about. I love my '73 450 sl. I drive it between Miami and New Orleans on a regular basis. Purrs like a fat cat at 85 mph all day long. My only gripe is having to stop every 250 miles and put $40 into the tank.

My God, you haven't sold the SL yet. I never in all my years heard of a story like yours. PLEASE sell it, burn it, give it away - do something, LOL.

Jim, please , if you are going to keep coming to this thread then try to read the post and keep up. Its not bad anymore, it is running great..the best it ever has as I have been stating. I just returned from Italy and will resume the sale. Im going to post a classified ad this weekend. I was also called by a guy who will sell you car on internet sites. He says this car, this age sells with no problem. If its not sold at your asking price in 90 days, the 90.00 ad price is fully refunded. He says he's never not sold one of these. Have you guys ever heard of this? Its only 90.00 bucks so I think Ill give it a try

Have heard of services like this. Who are they? I have a 95 e320coup that I am looking to sell soon.

Also, if I hadn't just purchased my 560sl, I would seriously consider buying yours, especially with all the work you had done!
It looks to be in nice shape too!

Thanks

Hi , The website is called www.thebiglot.com. He says if they dont sell it at your price in 90 days you get a full refund. Its a nationwide site and he said buyers travel from other states to get the vehicles they want. This is one of the model types that sell with no problem according to him. Im gonna give it a try

Ok I listed the car on thebiglot.com for the next 3 months. ALso here in DC they are going to have a special auto sale section in the paper this weekend so I will list it there as well. It must know its on the way out because it has run consistently well for the past month. No problems. I've got my fingers crossed

Lynn, On a totally unrelated issue from the car, how was the trip to Italy? Do you have any pix you can post, perhaps on another forum? And were you anywhere near Alevano? (Not sure if the spelling is correct). Thanks BOB

Hi Robert, I dont recall seeing that town anywhere we went. I do have some photos but they are not digital. If I can transfer them I will post. If you've never been here you really should go. Life just comes to complete standstill there. I can't even begin to describe the beauty of the area. It was the most peaceful vacation I have ever been on. If you see the movie " Under the Tuscan Sun" you will get a very accurate picture of what its like. I would encourage anyone to go

Put the top down, put a bottle of win in the truck, take it for a drive to a local park, and put a "for sale" sign in the window. On a beautiful day like tomorrow is going to be, I'd bet lunch you'll get someone to make an offer!!
