I have stock rim and tires on my 99 Kompressor Sport and the Pirelli directional tires are just too sensitive for the bad road condition here in Seattle. I am planning to get wider tires such as 225s and not to lose the performance, which brand and what size I am looking for?

Thanks

dave

I am Assuming a 99 C230 Kompressor Sport?

For a 99 C230 Kompressor Sport, I would go fromt he stock 205/55/16 to 225/50/16. I like the Dunlop SP Sport 5000 for wet traction, but it seems you want a tire that handles road irregularities better, which means you will lose the handling quotient of the feedback factor in order to get a tire to take irregulariteis better.

ITs not true for all tires, but a general rule of thumb. IF you want try the Dunlop D60 A2 JLB if you want a tire that is more on the touring side.
