18" on a '87 260e

Hey everyone,
I wanna put some rims on ma 87 260E
I dunno if 18" will fit
My car has no modifications on my suspension
and i dont think i will modify it in the future.
Can i fit 18" rims with 40 serious low profile
on my car? and how wide can i go?
tire size?
rim size?
