Lowering is not so bad but here are the faux pas:

Do not, DO NOT go for the rediculous "stretched" look seen in the pictures. Keep the rins INSIDE the tires and the tires under the wheel wells.

Also, don't run such skinny tires on oversized rims. I wouldn't go lower than a 45 aspect ratio.

I like the dark blue paint, but those stupid looking wheels have to go.
Wheels toooo wide for the tires. Probably if it had the proper tires for the wheel, there would be a clearance issue.

Definately get some good curb rash the way they stick out past the tire.

wouldn`t look too bad if the wheels/tire were more in balance to the car, and not painted.

To each his own I guess, it is definately a kids car, had on backwards give you a clue?

x2 that's just scary how skinny those tires are on such wide wheels. They're completely the wrong size tires for those rims, I don't even know how they're holding air. As soon as he hits a pothole with those it's going to blow out.

I actually like THOSE clear corners with the hint of amber.

That amount of lowering with those wheels would make the car almost undriveable.

I think Winmutt's car has an excellent stance that still gives it a meaner look while respecting the cars proportions.

But that's the look some people are going after these days. (but not for me..)

Here are more pics of that style..

People try to justify the look and say that it's not "ricey" because it came from Germany rather than Japan.

As far as I'm concerned, it could have come from God himself and it would still look stupid...
