Yokohama AVS db 245/50/16 on W210 - LUKE?

Are we certain that this tire would not fit on the OE 16"wheels?
I currently have 235/50/16 with a section width of 9.6" and the Yokohama is 9.8". I am not so troubled about 25.7 radius versus 25.4 radius. Also, the specs on 245/50/16 seem to suggest it would be just fine on 7.5" wide wheels.

I am asking because I noticed tires on another car at the gas station that I can swear are wider than mine, and I already have 235 (same wheels).

Thoughts?

I don't believe the 7.5 inch rim is wide enough. You may need a 8.0 inch rim If you go with a different rim make sure you rolled the fenders to fit the 245 width up front.

But the E55 has 245s upfront without rolled fenders?
Also the Yokohama specs show it to be a little narrower than other 245s.
Luke, thoughts?

All AMG cars and E55's have the fenders modified at the AMG factory. AMG rolls all fenders and changes the inner wheel well parts to accomodate the larger tires. I have 235/45/17 tires on my 98 E430 and I get front tire rubbing when I drive hard, fast and hit a dip in the road. The suspension bottoms out. The regular suspension of E320 and E430 is too soft and floaty. At first I wanted to upgrade, but instead I am buying an E55.

Anyone want to buy my E430?:
