The AMG monoblock fitment for the 92 500SL is in 18 X 8.0.

This is one for the Tire Rack guys to settle; I'm inclined to think they'll fit, if correctly offset.

The offset on the AMG Monoblock in size 18X8.5 is for the S-Class W140 and W220 sedans.

There are a few options we should discuss. I would be happy to assist you if you would like to give me a call.
Thanks, Luke

The 500sl is better suited with monoblock wheels to an 8" front and a 9" rear. If you must have 8.5" fronts look at the SL 2-piece wheels. The offset is not correct for the 1 piece designs and 8.5" widths for the 500sl.

Thanks, Luke

I too have a 92 500sl and love the SL2PC look.
Do you know of any issues or problems with
replacing the original 16" wheels with the
18" sl2pc? Whats the optimal tire size?

Thanks!!

My dad has a 1994 sl600. He took of the factory 16x8 et 34 wheels, and put on the AMG 5 spoke wheels in 18x8.5 front, and 18x10 rear. He had to get the fenders rolled to stop the rubbing, but they fit perfect now, and look even better.

My father has the 1 piece wheels. he got them from a place here in los angeles, that was recommended by the mercedes dealer in beverly hills.
