I'll answer the questions to the best of my ability, here goes..... - A/C has never been changed/recharged but blows cold (much colder than my wifes 02 CRV) - The belt tensioner was replaced approximately 45k miles (have records for this) - original nitrogen cells and rear shocks (no problems) - all services have been performed including multiple tranny fluid flushes, coolant flushes, differential flush, hydraulic fluid flush, power steering flush, brake fluid flush, plugs and associated filters including fuel. (have records for this) - The rear sunshade works properly but it does click when completely closed. - No ticks on startup, changing to Amsoil 10W40 solved this - no oil seepage from anywhere except engine timing cover, mechanic recommended against repair (not measurable). - Suspension bushes are all in good condition with no visible cracks or wear. (inspected by mechanic each visit) Ride is compliant and stable - stock in dash Becker and CD changer work great and are in excellent condition, front speakers have been replaced with Rainbows (have originals in box which are fine) - radiator replaced due to cracked neck - wiring harness in hand and being replaced 08/07/04 - new tires/brakes (2000/1300 miles ago) - Correct MB Battery installed 4 years ago, no problems - Caps/Rotors replaced at 48k miles - oil breather hoses, power steering hoses, oil cap and tranny coolant lines replaced Suggestions or areas that should be addressed: 1. Existing radio antenna makes noise, should be replaced 2. remove existing wiper panels and store, buy new and have sprayed to match (old ones have excessive paint chips) 3. If clicking noise created by sunshade at the closed position bothers you it can be replaced. The Warranty covers the power windows, sunroof, engine (including timing chain), tranny, differential, driveline, A/C, power steering pump (not seals though) and water pump. There are several other items but those are the major ones. On several occasions I've asked my mechanic if he could find any problems/issues so that I could take advantage of the warranty, haven't used it yet. Hope this helps. Mike, With regards to the offer I've decided to hold the price at $28,700, I can't justify selling it for any less. The harness is being replaced on Saturday which I know was something you were looking for. If anything changes let me know. David, I wanted to thank you again for coming out to see the car and I'm glad you weren't disappointed. Keep me posted with the sale of your existing car. Paul, Thank you for the compliment Knowing how meticulous you are definitely makes me appreciate it even more. Note: I truly do hope the car goes to an enthusiast that will continue to maintain and possibly show it. If anyone is interested Tom Hanson (MBCA Head Judge; SoCal)has offered to discuss the appearance of the car with any potential buyers. He's seen and judged the car at several concours events and is very familiar with it's condition. PM or email me for his contact information.

Mike,
Congrats on the purchase of the E55, good choice for the Silver State Classic. You may want to look up one of the members on this site (need2speed), he's rund the Silver State in his 500E a few times I believe. He may be able to give you some pointers/tips. Good luck. Well the car is still for sale, I've reduced the price to $28,000, harness is done BTW. I have two weeks left to sell the car, otherwise it goes back East with me.
