Gurkha 4x4

Hi,

Since this is a G forum I though someone here would be interested in the Indian G clone called Gurkha. It sports a Om 616 turbo engine with G-18 5 speed gearbox and MB 3.75t rear diff. Has independent front suspension and fully floating rear. Comes with Puch transfer case and diff locks on front and rear as well as 16' wheels.

German 4x4 mag rated it among the toughest and true 4x4.

Well that chrome bush bumper has got to go LOL. But beside that I've heard the Gurkha is one heck of a beast. Seems to be more MB than clone from what I can tell.

The grill emblem is Tempo as it is a Tempo subsidiary in India.

I like the Judo body type

I prefer the rugged driveline and engine of the Gurkha though.

Judo is LWB with all the frills like a/c whereas the Gurkha was made for military purpose with SWB which is more suited for true off roading.

That is a long hot debated topic of which wheels better long wheel base or short wheel base. Lots of hardcore jeepers extend their wheelbase to get an edge.

The Judo wheelbase like the lenght of a small truck or like a full size truck? The Ghurkha wheel base is like a jeep or a tiny SUV (Sammuri) right?

The Gurkha is more close to SWB Pajero and Toyota 4Runner whereas the Judo is closer to Ford Endeveour.
