ML 320 Navigation Reset question

Hi

Does anyone know how I can reset the radio for the ML 320? Here is the problem that I'm having.

Two days ago I took out the Navigation CD and put in a music CD to listen. I was able to listen to music and everything is fine. Until I took out the music CD, it seems that the radio didn't notice that I took out the CD and it froze at the CD screen. Now I can't even get the navigation to work. Are there tricks that I press certain buttons to reset the radio?

The only way I can think about resetting is unplugging the battery from the car.

What is also weird is now I'm able to turn on the radio at anytime even when there is no key in the ignation.

Please Advice.

Thanks.

Been there, done that. Turn MCS off, remove fuse #21 and then reinsert fuse #21. Turn on MCS and enter radio code # and it should work. Always does for me.

MCS = Modular Control System AKA the radio, navigation unit. You should have an MCS Operator's Manual that came with the truck along with the M-Class Operator's Manual.

Thanks!!!

Thank you very much. It worked! I'll have to remember that fuse number. I was lost in NY last weekend because Nav. refuse to work. Now I know I can just pull to side of the road and unplug/plug this fuse. ThX!!
