Limited Slip Differential

Just wondering if the differential(s) on the 98 ML320 is a limited slip type, If it(they) is(are) then would anyone know what catalyst fluid should be used to go along with the hypoid gear fluid. Thanks in advance.

Exclamation

Limited slip differentials DO not work with electronic traction systems! SO all ML's have open differentials!

Does the above statement only apply to Mercedes?

My friend has a Porsche 997S which has Porsches electronic stability management as well as the active suspension management; he says it's also equipped with a mechanical LSD as well. I don't know for sure if he's right or not about the LSD.

My 993C2S has a mechanical LSD but it has no electronic drivers aids except ABS.

MB uses ESP traction on most newer cars & ONLY the G-wagon has limited slip.

There are some performance cars that also have stability traction system & limited slips but MB doesn't like the "FEEL" that those systems give on a LUXURY type of car!
