ML 430 Transmission leak

My gearbox is leaking fluid from the front RH corner above the oil pan it appears to be coming from a plastic conection with a cable connected to it what is the best way to fix it.

replace the connector and the o-rings, i would suggest you do a trans service at the same time.

Trans Fix

Would Remove Connector , There Is A Tab At The Bottom Where The Lock Touches When Its Open , Cut Off And Replace Orings . Have Done Several At My Dealer , With Out Future Complaints . Hope This Helps

I think there is an M-B bulletin for this connector....Very easy to DYI...

Thanks for the help ,can I refill the transmission or does it have to done at a dealer workshop

Refilling is also a DIY....make sure you obtain the correct ATF....Careful though...Dealer will ask for your first born when it comes to this.....

Thats the front linkage

You need to change the front linkage I bet... The part is like $20 and it breaks down very easily (cheap rubber boot). I had the same problem, make sure you put back the original synthetic tranny fluid, and if your transmission pan doesn't have a magnet, I advise to get one too, its does a good job collecting the metal bits.
