Hi:

PLEASE tell me the torque setting for the rear (hex head) and front (Torx) caliper guide pins and the tapered cap screws which hold and align the rotor on my 1999 ML320.

I just replaced my front and rear pads and rotors (both worn out by the first (lease) owner after only 20,000 miles!?). The job went great but, unlike my previous vehicles that I have maintained myself, I cannot get service information for my ML.

As a result, I over torqued one of the caliper guide pin bolts on the rear and fractured it. I got the bolt replaced but I need to know what the Mercedes torque specification is so I can finish the job right.
Is there anywhere I can get service manuals or specification information for this vehicle?

Thanks you very much for your consideration!

God bless,

Don, I have also been trying to obtain repair manuals for my 98 and 99 MB s and have not had any luck with aftermarket manuals because the vehicles are too new yet. I m sure someone will look up the specs you requested. I just made mine snug carful not to overighten. PS My ML needed brakes after 29,000.
