Turn Signal issues? 1998 ML320
The return feature on my turn signals is broken. The signal will not go back to the center are it is engaged post a turn. If I turn right when it returns it goes all the way over and turn the directionals on in the OTHER direction so I have to manually put it in the center to shut it off. When I go left it just stays on going left.
I want to take the column apary to check or replace the part that is not working. Is there a post (my searches here and on Google produced nothing) on this board or some info on this procedure that night make it a smoother disassemble?? Any help would be GREAT as I have never done this before, advise? ![]() |

That was a very common problem on the ML's. they modified the switch assembly & that problem went away on the later trucks.
You most likely need the complete switch assembly. Takes a good MB tech with the correct tools about 1-1.25 hrs. IF you try..... make sure to disconnect the battery so that you don't have the SRS lamp come on after the repair.
