R350 air filter change

Can anyone tell me how to change the air filter on a R350. I know where it's located but I can't figure out how to open the housing. Thanks.

It's detailed very nicely in the R251 Startek Service DVD mentioned in the sticky thread above.

Its Simple


as the housing is the same on a W211

Remove the two intake tubes...and remove the front cover on the air filter housing..lift it up..then remove the complete housing..again lift up...

when its removed flip it over and remove the screws...on the two covers..replace the filters and reverse the process

Okay, I got only far as removing the two hoses. I tried what you said but it doesn't work. The housing comes lose but I can't seem to pull it out (forward). Can you elaborate?

You need to remove the cross-brace assembly in order to remove the filter housing.:
