Oh very nice! Let me know if you ever drive it out to the Left Coast. We can have a cruise-in. That is, if I can get the ol' Dusseldorfer started.

What engine does it have in it? If it's a 613 it must have 130hp. Is that an NA OM352?

I remember the old 309D, brings some childhood memories! My father used to drive it when he worked for a furniture company... he took me every morning to school in that thing.

He once told me that he drove it for about 200kms (120 miles), and that when he took a break in a clearing of the road, took a look at the dipstick and there wasn't any oil in the engine...

The 309D has a 2.9L, 4cyl OM314 engine.

That's what I thought too--the same engine as the 508d, but that wikipedia link in the first post says it has a 130hp six cylinder engine (hence the 613d designation X13d=130hp diesel).

It has the OM314 then? Interesting. How much did you pay might I ask?

If you come across any spare injection pumps please let me know! I have all the manuals and what not on these....

Also busfreaks.de is a wonder resource. As is Jim Ince on the texas moggers list. http://www.eurotruck-importers.com/ is local to me.
