Snap-On MT2500 scanner function
Originally, I had been researching the purchase of one of the many OBD-II scan tool options. However, the opportunity to acquire a used MT2500 at a reasonable price may soon present itself. I would still need to get a software cartridge for use on the ML.
After reading available Snap-On material, it is unclear whether or not the MT2500 system can, in addition to all its diagnostic capability, fully access the AAM (All Activity Module) on a '99 ML.
Also, OBD-II READ function is mentioned in the literature but I'm having to assume that the RESET function is included. Trust I'm not being naive.
Any clarification around these two issues (AAM access and OBD-II reset function) would be much appreciated before I make the investment.
I am aware that the system has considerably more diagnostic function than needed most of the time. However, it would be helpful to have diagnostic detail concerning problems whether I was to tackle them myself or have the local shop involved (the older I get, the easier I find it justifying the purchase of "toys").
Thanks in advance for any offered clarification.
