New S-Class for 2007

http://www.cnn.com/2005/AUTOS/06/20/new_mercedes_s-class/index.html

Looks like a big E-Class with S-Class headlamps. Wish they had more pictures and details. Plus, don't you think the MBUSA website should have something on it the same day it is announced in the press?

At least the diesel will be back! I am really not a fan of those wheels; however I am luke warm to the rest of the car.

The exterior styling is overstated and confused, while the interior is as appealing as a wet fart.

Has anyone here seen the Science Channel show about testing MB and Porsche? They said that MB put a cool $990,000,000 into development of the S-Class.

Is that quote from the brochure?

Those wheel arches are hideous. It's a fine competitor in this year's ugly-off with the BMW 850.

I'm born to be a contrarian, I guess. I like the looks of the car, especially the front end. I think from the rear seat to the rear bumper looks a bit packed in but the front lines are crisp and clean. Give it a minute and see if it doesn't improve.

OTOH, I think the W126 is the benchmark for elegance in auto design. This car plainly isn't trying for that level.

Think it might be like women? After about six stiff drinks it will get better looking?

After six drinks I'm hugging the porcelain throne praying to the Good God Buick.
