OK, Eric, you make me sick!!

Premium is about $153/gal here.

I know of a cheaper station (.20 or so less) about ten miles from my place. I'm now in the habit of putting about $5 in the tank until I'm in the area of that station then I fill up all the way. Hell of a way to have to save bucks!

I frequently see it around $2.59/$2.79/$2.89 for the three grades. That's mostly down on the peninsula (Palo Alto, silicon valley) it's steep down there.

The price has moved me to get my 617 converted to SVO though I'm still leaning towards going all out and trying to brew bio-diesel. Less potential grief in the engine, but more for my body: Methonal=big time poison. It's a tough one.

Lot's of grease to be had around here. A news article about a month ago -- some waste management company was fined big time for dumping over 1,000 gallons of used fryer oil into the sewer system of Palo Alto. Came from the Palo Alto country club. Popped up manhole covers -- a bunch of 'em.

Right on. I must be the only guy in town with, uh, let's see... 5 vehicles, none of which I drive to work. The ins. co must think I'm nuts... they never believe me when I report all 5 are for pleasure use only. I have about a mile (each way) walk to work; that's the most peaceful, relaxing portion of my day.

Accordingly, I haven't bought gas in a couple of weeks. I think it's at around $2.19 for the cheap stuff here in central IL, though.
