It's around 2.25 and fluctuating wildly here. Filling up is like playing the stock market. Buy Low!

How can gas station owners justify selling their gas at all of these different prices when they pay one price PER tanker they get.

They get 10000 gallons for $X per gallon

And can charge anywhere from $A-$Z for it?

Shouldn't they have to sell it for $X+markup until that tanker is gone?

$2.19- $2.25 per gal for 87.... Georgia used to be cheaper than most other states, but something has changed in the last year or 2. I actually see prices go down when I cross in to SC and TN... bummer.

Right on. I must be the only guy in town with, uh, let's see... 5 vehicles, none of which I drive to work. The ins. co must think I'm nuts... they never believe me when I report all 5 are for pleasure use only. I have about a mile (each way) walk to work; that's the most peaceful, relaxing portion of my day.

Accordingly, I haven't bought gas in a couple of weeks. I think it's at around $2.19 for the cheap stuff here in central IL, though.

If you just go to http://www.gasbuddy.com you can get pretty much any major metro area. I use them all the time and go straight to the gas stations with the lowest prices listed.

Its been 2.43 for regular for the past week and a half here. NYC.
You don't even want to know what premium is. Think $2.80 This is the "cheap" stations. I expect $3 premium by winter I really do.

$2.59 for diesel this morning at the truck stop I use. Most expensive is $2.75.

Gas is anywhere from $2.20 for 87, to 2.60 for the high test. I am not sure of the exact numbers I havn't bought gas in awhile.

$3 a gallon is going to hurt a bit this winter when I will be commuting to school. I will try to drive less but will probably burn 16-20 gallons a week.
