We ought to get a pool started as to how long he lasts this time.

I say 7 to 10 days.

Hey, it's longer than he lasted a few weeks ago.

Yeah, it hadn't occurred to me, but someone pointed it out on another thread.

I don't care if he sticks around, as long as he doesn't start the intentionally disruptive bull$hit that he's known for.....

Mike
I feel the same way about individual liberties and the freedoms we were founded on. I've always considered myself an independent. I agree with GW, nothing good will come from political parties, but that's a rather utopian view much like communism. I've voted for Democrats, Republicans, my Mom once or twice; basically, whomever I think might get the job done. There have never been any perfect candidates adn I don't expect there will be. I don't see myself voting democrat again at the national or state level anytime soon though. As long as they continue to care more about being elected than the nation I think that would be irresponsible.

I guess that puts me in right now as a "W" follower. Please feel free to check my grammer and post corrections. It's late at night and I've been at work all day. I'm sure I made an error or two here and there. In addition, I have reproduced and am hoping that my sons (when they grow up) also participate here at MBshop. So, as for your "gene pool" I guess there goes the neighborhood...

Well, that's certainly tempting. If I had money riding on it, I would have incentive to push his buttons. It's better for the MShop forum if that doesn't happen. Better to just let Darwin take its course. The guy has such an enormous ego that he simply can't avoid making A, it's just a matter of time. I gotta believe the moderators are wise to him and would pull the plug on him in a heartbeat if, oops, make that when,... he starts the same crap he always starts.

Might be fun to get a poll going anyway, or would that be considered bad form?

I wouldn't do it. His identity is not public knowledge, and the poll might cause you to win the bet prematurely.

Televangelist Calls for Assassination of Chavez
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

Filed at 6:20 a.m. ET

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) -- Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson suggested on-air that American operatives assassinate Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez to stop his country from becoming ''a launching pad for communist infiltration and Muslim extremism.''

''We have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability,'' Robertson said Monday on the Christian Broadcast Network's ''The 700 Club.''

''We don't need another $200 billion war to get rid of one, you know, strong-arm dictator,'' he continued. ''It's a whole lot easier to have some of the covert operatives do the job and then get it over with.''

Chavez has emerged as one of the most outspoken critics of President Bush, accusing the United States of conspiring to topple his government and possibly backing plots to assassinate him. U.S. officials have called the accusations ridiculous.

''You know, I don't know about this doctrine of assassination, but if he thinks we're trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to go ahead and do it,'' Robertson said. ''It's a whole lot cheaper than starting a war ... and I don't think any oil shipments will stop.''

Robertson, 75, founder of the Christian Coalition of America and a former presidential candidate, accused the United States of failing to act when Chavez was briefly overthrown in 2002.

Electronic pages and a message to a Robertson spokeswoman were not immediately returned Monday evening.

Venezuela is the fifth largest oil exporter and a major supplier of oil to the United States. The CIA estimates that U.S. markets absorb almost 59 percent of Venezuela's total exports.

Venezuela's government has demanded in the past that the United States crack down on Cuban and Venezuelan ''terrorists'' in Florida who they say are conspiring against Chavez.

Robertson has made controversial statements in the past. In October 2003, he suggested that the State Department be blown up with a nuclear device. He has also said that feminism encourages women to ''kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians.''
