Thought I'd resurrect this thread. Here's my list of finalists for a 500E/E500 (of course, I need to check with DMV and see what's available, but anyway...)
QSHIP MB QSHIP VLVT HMR FIVEO SLEEPER NT WRTHY NO MBA SCHNELL Comments? Votes? Yea/nay? |

Kinda like "FIVE0".
Don't get "VLVT HMR". Velvet something-or-other I want "KLATTER" on my SD, or "KLTRKLTR". I think we can have up to 8 letters/numbers here.

I kinda like QSHIP and SCHNELL. My other car will likely get "NTWRTHY". Someone else said "velvet hummer?" when they saw VLVT HMR, so yeah, that's kinda out. Sleeper is too "obvious", I think. I really like NO MBA but that doesn't fit the car very well. My preferred plate style has a 5-character limit, making QSHIP top choice at the moment with FIVE0 runner-up (FIVE0 is a little redundant, though.) If either or both are taken, my second plate choice allows 7 characters, with SCHNELL looking pretty good (or MBQSHIP, to eliminate the inevitable Infinity questions.) I ruled out DA BOMB as being a little to snobbish (although it's fitting!)
BTW - I love Dean's idea about getting a Porsche license plate frame! Brilliant! |

Oh, yeah. "SCHNELL" would be good I missed it's meaning when looking at the list earlier.

QSHIP SCHNELL SPUDGUN (note the state I live in - heh heh!) WLFNWUL MBQSHIP BTW - I decided that anything like E500, FIVEO, EFIVEO, MBZE500, etc etc were all kind of redundant. Well, the FIVEO one also has some double meanings but you get the idea. I sort of want something that makes people think a bit. Whatever the plate says, the license plate frame will be "Porsche"!! |

Update: I checked with the nice lady at DMV today and found these three are NOT available - someone already has taken them:
SCHNELL SPUDGUN SLEEPER So, my list has shortened to: QSHIP MBQSHIP WLFNWUL Also, I came up with a new one last night, which I'll toss out there & see if it gets any response: WARP 9 (you know, the maximum speed of a Galaxy Class Starship.) |
