I'm getting Optimum online!!

Yes I have been cursed with AOL and dial up for years! I can't wait to get the cable moden and then I can tell AOL *(^&*()^*(^_.

I can't wait to actually be able to download the videos you guys post, 56k just doesn't cut it anymore online.

It's about time.

I've had it for about seven months now.......after a miserable DSL experience........and it's been excellent. Only two outages in that time.

And, dump that expensive AOL........why do folks keep that service???

It is fast but expensive

We had it along with the basic cable and it cost $50 per month and their email addresses were very proned to spam at that time which was around 6 months ago.
I switched to the Public Library server which is free and use gmail for my email. Our phone plan lets me dial up and stay on as long as I like without any additional charges.
Yea, it is not as fast as Cable, and people can't call while on I online, but it is free!

Well my parents pay for it so I don't care what it costs! But AOL is up to almost $30 now and Cable is $23.95 for the first 12 months then $45 after that.

Ok. Why would ANYONE in their right mind use AOL when there are places like this:
http://www.all2easy.net/

I use them when I travel and as a backup for work in case my OOL goes down (which it never has).

It is $4.95, and even though they don't brag about it, it is unlimited access.

Solid connections.

That's a fantastic deal.

What's the stated BS regarding "6X faster"?? Can it really run faster than 56K??
