Is it the table?

I say it HAS to be the table. And NO he isn't palming it when he does the coin. That much I *do* know.

The coin trick is done by palming the coin. As for the saltshaker: The table is rigged with a sliding glass top with a hole in it (the glass extends into the section of the table to the magician's left). The three women at the table with him are accomplices (the real "live" audience is the other people in the restaurant, a safe distance away). The other objects on the glass (cigarette box, cup and saucer) are mounted in such a way that they won't move with the sliding glass, reinforcing the illusion. Watch his left hand and listen carefully between 2:20 and 2:30 on the clip--he's sliding the glass so that the hole (hidden under his left palm) moves to the center of the table. After he pulls the saltshaker through, the hole is quickly slid back into its hiding place, passing surreptitiously under his left arm. Very impressively pulled off, but he's not Kitty Pryde's long-lost cousin. Anyway, did anyone notice Jimmie Walker in the talk show panel (in the P-in-P) watching the trick?
