I was just arguing the South Dakota side. I think women should have complete control over reproduction since I think reproduction should be subservient to our wills. We are gods as far as our future children go and there's nothing they can do it about it. Whether they come into existence or not is entirely up to our good will. A woman should be able to make the decision to reproduce freely and should also be allowed to rescind that decision.

Men have wanted to control women's reproduction forever because of the ambiguity of paternity. It's time the tables were turned.

You asked about 3rd trimester abortions. If the woman doesn't want to host any more, she should be offered the choice of a C-section or an abortion

Freedom of.....

I do not know what this politician in SD is thinking by trying to outlaw abortion. Frankly, my personal view is it is a womans choice and we must not mix moral issues with the law of the land. It seems that everytime the US tries to outlaw, ban or prohibit anything from drugs to booze to whatever it starts that nasty black market of demand and supply. I for one would rather have it abortion regulated and safe for a woman to have procedure rather than the back alley methods in the dark ages.

What really gets my goat is not the ignorance of this politician or his constituants but rather the willingness of the weak minded, cult like followings that some of these religious clowns spread their rhetoric to. Correct me if I am wrong, the US was founded on belief and principal of freedom. freedom of speech, thought, expression and such. We however have allowed ourselves as citizens be browbeaten by these do-gooders that actually feel their opinion is the one that counts and it is turning the US into an international folly of misnomers and a comedy of errors.

So lets try to see our hiprocasy for a moment. Thousands of protesters block doors to a LEGAL abortion clinic because they want to PROTECT lives. They get nowhere, so one of there own wackos goes and shoots up LEGAL clinics, killing innocent nurses and doctors?? Whats next? It's ok Johnny go take this military issue arm cannon and go kill, kill, kill but dont pick up that beer until your 21 son... and while your at it,extinguish that cigarette because you are within 50 feet of a county, state or federal building..What a joke.. Just my two cents, allow me to share it while I still can...

I don't know anyone who is in favor of third trimester abortions. I don't really know anyone in favor of abortions, come to think of it. I know a lotta people who are pro-choice, with a typical scenario of under 10 weeks. I heard today that several states have outlawed the morning after pill, because lawmakers see no difference between taking the pill a few hours after sexual activity and an abortion. I guess there's a whole bunch of extremists out there...

Yip, its where you draw the line. If the morning after pill were availble at 7-11 we wouldn't be having this discussion and the extremist groups wouldn't have an issue to argue about. Kinda makes you think.

I've always found it interesting (ironic) that in a country that champions the rights of the helpless, the most helpless ones of all-- those still in the womb-- seem to have the least chance of obtaining that most basic right of -- life.

Yes, I am pro-life.
