What qualifies as a "cool, dry place"?

I bought some Omega 3 fish oil capsules, apparently they'll make me the healthiest guy around (or at least in my home). The directions say to "store in a cool, dry place". Does that mean my refrigerator? Does it mean in my pantry closet? That's certainly dry, and being out of direct sunlight it's at room temperature. These things were just on the shelf with the other supplements at Wild Oats, they weren't refrigerated. Anybody have any idea?

I made some room in one of the fridge door bins and keep them there with the vitamins and other stuff...you can keep them in the cupboard if your house is relatively cool...i.e. 21C or so...

How 'bout northern Wisconsin in the dead of winter??

Any place should be OK - just avoid putting it into direct sunlight and places that might have heaters adjacant to them. Most medicine cabinets will do just the trick ...

I think it just means to avoid storage in a hot, damp place.

Fish oil capsules are highly processed food. People lived for millions of years on natural food. Processed food has only existed in the industrial age. Advertising (propaganda) has created the demand for the product, not need. Heart disease is a by-product of the industrial age.

I commend your attempts to make yourself healthy, you are the only one who can make you healthy. Food grows, it does not come from a factory. Eat everything as close to the way it grew as possible. Never put anything in your mouth from a fast-food joint or a convenience store. Avoid hydrogenated fat, high fructose corn syrup and refined grains, they are poison, really. Healthy people do not take pharmaceuticals and pharmaceuticals do not make people healthy.

Once it's open you'd want to put it in the fridge, but if it's been setting on the shelf up to now just put it in the cupboard. I've always heard that the good stuff goes away if it isn't continually refrigerated anyway, and that you'd need to take half the bottle a day to get any real benefit from capsules. Get the liquid at the health food store and drink it. I drink about ¼ pint of flax and fish oil daily and find my energy and general feeling of well being is enhanced. If you really want a kick get some oregano oil.

I think between Hillarys legs would be classified as a cool dry place.
