I'll have to eventually get up your way and see it in person.

It's an existing light that I "improved" on. That's actually the next glass project I want to do for myself. I want to design a light that matches our home a bit better. I'm picturing a 4 or 5 torch light chandelier and having it hang a little higher than the current one. I might have a go at making the torch shades with my glass kiln (fused and slumped).

This pic is only to show what I mean by torch lights. What I design won't look anything like it.

If you ever come to PA or NJ, check out New Hope, PA which is right across the river from Lambertville, NJ. They have several antique shops that sell art nouveau and art deco lighting. I've seen lamps fitting your description several times in these shops.

Posting from the road.

On my way to Los Angeles with some detours, First up to Lake Isabella, CA for a date with a 3rd grade teacher, a blind one, I never met her yet.

Overnight for a few hours in Lancaster in the Antelope Valley desert, then out of there with another friend following in his 560 SEC, down to the Mercedes Benz Classic Center in Irvine CA for a celebrity gtg, supposedly Jay Leno and other car freaks like them wil be there.

PM, to the BBQ at Harbor Motorsports (in Westminster, better known as Little Saigon, with highest number of Viets in USA outside of the 'Nam) where my car got upgraded in November. They are mostly So Cal young Asian street racer outlaws with new, expensive Mercedes cars from mymbonline.. I am "the old guy" with "the OLD CAR" LOLZ

How did you score a date with a blind teacher?

Gonna try to plant some emerald arborvitae along the front driveway to replace a rotting fence. I also need to change the oil in the TDI and the Saab, and I asked the wife on a "date" Saturday night to a new-ish restaurant about 45 minutes away -- German food!

My "baby" sister is coming out to my place for the first time. She'll be here for 10 days, I'm taking a 2 week vacation so I'll give her a tour of Southern Arizona. See all the "touristy" things, Tombstone, Bisbee, old missions, mountains, deserts (high, medium and low), Mexican food spots (arriba'!),AZ-Sonoran desert museum, "Old Tucson" (movie set for a lot of the westerns), the Santa Catalina mountains (9000'+ peaks just an hour's drive from the crib), ya know, ANYTHING to get out of two weeks of the yardwork I SHOULD be doing!

The main thing it's FRIDAY, the last day before vacation!

The sun is out and it's warm just in time for the weekend. There's been a solid stream of customers rolling through so I can't complain (except I wish I had more to sell). I've spent most of the morning transforming the loading dock from winter storage/crap repository to a fully-stocked and presentable extension of the showroom. It was a frightening sight with all of the doors open!

Good luck with the meet & greet! We're psyched that we'll have all 4 kids at the same school next year when our 2.5yo starts the pre-K program. Then they get split up again.

Have not had time to play with it since I got it, so now that everything is calmed down time to play with it.
