Soccer tournament starts tonight...unfortunately, forecast calls for a massive deluge of rain beginning this evening! Sucks! And I'm behind on lawn maintenance! :grim:

My newest W126 came in by transport this week, get to start snooping around it and making a list for Phil. Looks good so far - interesting trunk finds; the infamous triangle!!. Noticed a sticker on the trunk lid showing how to attach the trailer hitch - don't have hitch but there is a receiver.

I just checked the Intellicast Radar, and it looks like that "massive deluge" will be on us (us, and your soccer fields) by lunch.

I knew that bright stuff wouldn't last.
Sure was nice for a while though, wasn't it?

We've been mowing twice week here to stay on top of it. And bagging it too. As it's growing too long so fast it won't mulch.
Usually in July it's been twice a month. Oh well....no "sprinkler bill" this year so far.

As for my Friday -
Honda A/C repairs on the Odyssey (Love odyclub.com)
-and-
Honda clutch repairs on the XR250R.

Other than that - Our lives here are pretty much in the hands of Mother Nature. So far, she's been a real B_TCH this year.

Possibly kayaking on the Potomac this weekend, unless the thunder storms MSN is predicting really materialize. We could actually stand a little of that rain you guys in Texas have. It's dry as a bone here in N VA.

Besides that, probably patching up all the walls and ceilings from my replumbing this week. That should give me something with which to occupy myself for the next few weekends at least.

Ummmm let's see. Flying around the friendly skies tomorrow and Sunday practicing stalls and spins, no Dutch Rolls just stalls and spins....and working for a bit tomorrow a.m. Have a great weekend you guys!

Ditto on the car shopping. Seriously considering dumping the S600.

There's a 123 TD wagon FS near me, (ad is in the FS section) might look at that and buy something else as a "fun" car.

Hey is that the National Club Girls(non-school teams) championship, by chance? My 15 yo neice played representing the State of North Carolina in Tampa a few weeks ago and they got eliminated in the quarters (maybe?) by California. She told me last week that the finals were in Texas this week.

Mistress:

I was just posting based on last week's diatribe about the redundency...

Notice the "tongue-sticking-out" smilie at the end of my post?

That's the "defuser" - as in, "Can't we all just get along????"

Anyways...

:P

(Thanks for the "kiss" smilie!)

No...far from it...we're not THAT good!

This is a local tune-up tournament we entered so that the team could touch the ball at some point prior to the qualifiers a few weeks from now. The rains pretty much killed practice time, so the girls are rusty.

Nevertheless, the rains stayed away long enough last night to get the first game in...our girls won 6 - 1 ! :laugh3:

G-Benz 07-14-2007 11:39 PM

Stayed sunny today as well...girls advanced to Sunday's finals after winning today's games 6 - 0, and 2 - 1.

Unfortunately, many key players suddenly went off for vacations and a couple got injured. So no subs available!

If it gets rained out, then our girls win by default...GO RAIN!!!!
