The result of being too impatient to park the SUV in the garage carefully...

As always,Mistress with her sound, grounded common sense sets things in perspective.

It's only a goddam dent! easily repaired, chill and take the family out to dinner!

If I had a dime for every dent or scratch on any of my vehicles caused by my wife maneuvering about the carriage barn I'd be a millionaire{well,maybe a multi-millionaire}

Point taken.

The dent wasn't the issue, I got it fixed already anyway. It was the manner in which the whole thing occurred. My wife has no tolerance for mistakes...if I or my daughter screw up, we get a hurricane-strength tongue lashing from her. When she does something, she blows it off and paints a picture that portrays her as the innocent party affected by some external anomaly! I get tired of that.

Gotta go...as Mistress pointed out, I gotta take my daughter over to a soccer match this afternoon to "kick butt"! :pleased:

I'm looking forward to another Saturday of glorious drywall repair. I got all the plumbing in my house replaced and, by God, I can take a high-pressure shower once again without water coming through the ceiling downstairs! Woohoo! Life is good.

Pimpin' my wagon for the benzo meet at Stone Mtn. Sunday.

G-Benz 07-26-2007 04:02 PM

The big soccer qualifiers start this weekend, but my daughter's team is seeded first in their division so they get a bye...we are soccer-free for now.

Finished base coat paint in the media room, so I plan on doing the two-stage glaze faux in the meantime.

Someday I will get that new Blaupunkt deck in the W124...

...oh yeah, wife and I are getting along fine...better than we have in awhile...

...and the dent on the ML was fixed paintlessly by the dent guy "extraordinaire"...amazing!!!

Waiting for a new radiator to arrive from CA., I've got the hoses on order from GermanStar, should be here tomorrow about 12 or so...might have the W123 back on the road by the evening...or not...to the minimal tune of $450.00...

(Expansion tank pressings started relieving themselves...sprayed AF all over the engine compartment...GOD, I hate antifreeze!!! )

Life Happens ... I'm just happy I'm still part of it!

No problem...came home and it was hissing...it was a slow enough leak that you could "smell it" in the car but it wasn't steaming out through the gaps between the hood, fenders and cowl...just EVERYTHING under the hood was "damp" with antifreeze...

After everything quit dripping, I hosed down the driveway to save the whales, dolphins, dogs, cats and bald eagles in the neighborhood...don't want to get PETA riled up...they're on a tear with Vick right now...that's a hornets' nest I ain't touchin'!

Thanks for the concern though!

:P

Laminate floor in the family room. Oh boy....
A bit early now to fire up the saw though.

Got about 40% in yesterday. Then the old body said enough is enough.
First time to cut the masonry at the base of the fireplace to slide the floor under the brick.
Worth the trouble though I guess. It looks much nicer than trying to get it close, and then caulking the gap.
Thanks to a 90 degree head on the ol’ Roto-Zip it went pretty smooth.

Finishing up today with the install will be my Friday for sure.
DJ and the kids get base-board duty.

Gotta love that "as a family" DIY feeling when a project is done !!

Time to lay the paint Saturday. Body work has been done, been throwing a coat of primer on each morning this week before work, then sanding at night after dinner. Now for the color and clear coat!

Mistress 07-27-2007 09:40 AM

Flying Sunday and cocktails with my co-workers tonight woohoo.
