My wife is going with her sister's bridal party for dress alterations tomorrow, so I'll be with the kids. She's taking Monday off and we'll be having her mom watch the kids while we go to the Mercer & Fonthill Museums.

I'm looking forward to checking out all those cool tools. Henry Mercer's castle will be cool too.

My excellent adventure. AMG headers, and girls. Here is my photo album.

Just got it all done at Topline Automobile Inc - The Hands and Minds of Automotive Excellence Topline Automobile, who powdercoated the AMG Headers, painted them black, and ran a custom dual exhaust with 2 small standard cats, down to a 2 in/2 out Remus exhaust I had them install in January.

Up in the air on the lift:

All finished: Detailed by Topline too.

Well, I needed a bumper sticker to go with the Beverly Hills Ltd Mercedes Benz license plate frame on the car.

So I went with this one!!!

Ready to hit the road at last!!!

My loaner was a "fake" 1987 300SDL turbo diesel

But, the diesel blew up and the owner of Topline installed a Mercedes Benz 300 Six cylinder gasser engine in this car.

But, it retains its diesel chassis, and diesel chassis title, and debadged, which this car is, *nobody* would ever know.

Especially, the California DMV, which exempts all diesels from smog tests in California.

It's the ONLY W126 gasser that will NEVER EVER need a smog test!! LOLOL

I had dates too.

I was in the San Francisco area a LOT lately. Had three different dates, 3 different women.

This was one of them. I used the fake 1987 300SDL turbo that was debadged and is really a 300SEL to take her out in.

She is a lawyer from Peru, and never knew the difference between a diesel and a gasser!!

Oh come on!!! SMILE!!!!!

Drove my AMG SEC car back home last night. AMG knew its business when it made these

The new AMG headers are hooked to a true dual exhaust system with 2 small cats, and exit through the Remus, and it's estimated you get 2 hp from the Remus (dyno tested) and 25 hp from the headers, and that is power right to the rear wheels.

That's 27 hp over the stock 238 the restrictive US set up gave.

You can feel the extra power at all bands: When taking off from a stoplight, when passing and merging at 60-80 mph, and best of all, when pulling hard from 90 past 125 mph.

I did that in Penryn, California near Loomis, on Highway 80 at midnight when there were no cops around!! hehehehe

The torque feels endless and the macadam gets reeled in when you drive it.

It pulls like a freight train ...

The 560SEC is a true GT cruiser, built for comfortable high speed, long distance cruising where hundreds of miles can be gobbled up in huge, enormous chunks.

Another few hours and my "paycheck" will be legit...direct deposit sucks until the funds are "posted" for the day...

Anyways...I'm hoping a few sections (like about 100') of my new tower get hung today...we'll see how that works out...

I may be playing in High Voltage today (35kV) for chits and giggles...

Anyone else dancing on "thin ice" too?  :D
