Seems we're looking at buying a portion of a company. A big portion, with lots and lots of entanglements in the manufacturing realm. Gonna have to figure out how to separate the pieces we buy, which of those pieces we had to buy but don't want going forward, and the pieces that stay.

My piece? Move the manufacturing of the stuff we do want from current spot to one of our contract manufacturers, and move the stuff we bought but don't want to where ever the people we dump it on wants it.

Really, really, really crude slightly damp thumb in the air first read tells me this is gonna be a) big, b) complex, and c) include technologies we don't currently manufacture. Including high speed RF stuff - black magic stuff I've dealt with in the past, but our current contract manufacturers have not.

Was ready to tell Sr. VP dude "12 months, aggressive, and I need a dozen bodies I don't have today." Reading through the acquisition docs last night, hidden in a foot note on slide 57: ".... financials assume manufacturing fully outsourced to low cost region ...." 4 months after I MIGHT get to start moving.

Oh goodie.

sounds like a job for romney....good luck jim.

chillaxing this weekend possibly a party or two...hope everyone has a good one.

This one will involve moving UK jobs to China. Got a problem with that?

Ah I see. Well in that case not as much as if there were US jobs.

No not really; *SOMEONE* needs to avenge the burning of the White House by the British in the war of 1812.

Uh, right?

The jobs will probably be the ones currently done by illegals in England.
Pity they cant export the current workforce with the jobs.
I guess the day will come when the illegals seek asylum in China !

Once all of our jobs have been outsourced to Asia, our illegal population will be sneaking into Asian countries.

Problem solved!

Another week, another dollar. (or the change from one...)

Anyways...

Got home this morning about 0115 and after getting ready for the sack, had to hit the "head" in order to "let loose a day's worth of deuce"...

In the rush to try to get the last word in with the argument with "Mother Nature" (You NEVER win those!), that's when I noticed that the device in the wall that is SUPPOSE to have the appropriate paper installed and ever-ready is CLEARLY nothing more than a device holding a cardboard tube with nothing on it.

And the "emergency roll" that's suppose to be in the little basket wrapped up and protected from all things moist is not in the little basket all wrapped up and protected from all things moist...it was reduced to the visible tube of cardboard staring at me from the wall...

Crap...

So...I'm hanging Hiney over the edge of the tub, applying copious amounts of water to the nether-regions (an improtu "bidet" using the Waterpic Showerhead, set on "ATTACK") in order to cleanse my arse for another venture, out into the lovely, early, wee hours of the morning to procure another bundle of 36-double rolls of hiney-love...

...and to wander the isles of MALFART*...and be a part of the counter-culture of bar-time weirdness...

On the way home, I hit a 'possum (another word for "dead critter waddlin") and it's in front of the Animal Hospital/Vet-Clinic.

How ironic.

I get home, load the device with the right stuff...strip and drop like a dead 'possum into the sack and head off to...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

Now, I have just a report to finish up and I'm out of here 'til Monday...

Just a parade tomorrow and maybe a few hours on the river, maybe on Sunday.

Keep the roll ready and have a weekend folks! (The left one is clean. HONEST!)

BTW: I've yet to use the phrase "Senor Discount available?"

Stinky way to kick off the weekend!

My weekend is going to be pretty insane...have the GTG tomorrow (!!!) and then heading to my gf's for a luau-themed family celebration. I just hit the 20lb loss mark on my weight but I have a feeling some is going to come back this weekend.

Congrats on the loss of 20#s! I've lost just over 50#s since May, simply by "dropping the Dew" and going only with H2O. All that sugar isn't hanging on my waist/arse and I'm not "jagging" on the caffeine-overages anymore. Feels good, doesn't it?!?
