We are actually looking for a convertible car seat, I.E. one that can be easily removed and attached to a stroller. I don't know if these exist, but if they do that is what we are looking to get.
Just picked up the car. all is well. I like it. the 240 has plenty of power, smooth, and drives great. I'll drive it for a few days befor eI hand the keys over... Alon

Congrats on the baby. Y'all take your time, even now, and enjoy every moment!
Those convertible systems do exist. They're called "travel systems." You get a stroller, a baby seat (carrier), and a baby seat base. The carrier clips into both the stroller and the car seat base. We used that system for two kids. Personally, I would not do it again. The plusses are it's super convenient for the first three or four months. The negatives are it's expensive (you use it for a fairly short time) and heavy. After the kid is a few months old, carrying the kid in the carrier starts to get really awkward. If you think about it, the for the first few months (when the kid is really light), it's silly to utilize a travel system (and after the first few months, the inherent convenience goes away). If you do go with a travel system, I personally think Peg-Perego makes the best ones. If I had it to do over again I would get three separate, top of the line, systems: Maclaren carrier (the thing you strap on your chest), car seat (there are lots of good brands) that goes from birth to eighty pounds, and a Maclaren stroller. If you'll pick it up and don't mind years of ground in cheerios, apple sauce, vomit, and many other less pleasant things, I have a sweet Peg-Perego travel system you can have.
