Well, my friend, that is what EVERYBODY says.

But when it comes time to really choose, even the drooling old people at the rest home still want to hang on. I've seen it myself.

BTW, have you signed a set of Medical Directives?

Just in case you end up disabled and unable to decide?

Remember Terry Schiavo...

Well, since I am married, Dating advice is not necessary or needed. But if I were dating again, you bet I would seek advice or whatever help I can get. To give you an example or two. My wife is 43. Why can't she pick out her own clothes? I am 40. Why can't I? Well, when she wears what she picks out, it is ok. When she wears what I picked out, quite often she gets complements. Vice versa. I shop for her in Vicky's Secret (Although they practiced sexual discrimination against me. WTF?? Why can't I fit bras on women?) She tells the hairdresser how to cut my hair and how I will wear it. When I was single, I used to pick on a pretty girl and ask her what she would like to see me in (clothes wise) if we were on a date. Actually, it netted me a couple of dates but many complements.

Tramp stamps? That talking about how the girl has a tatoo of his name on her back? If you think about it, when you get married, chances are the girl will have YOUR last name. Guess one form is more socially acceptable than the other although both make you, in a way, owned by the guy if you are a girl.

Signed, sealed and delivered. It states that I am not willing to accept any handicap. This is if both of us are disabled. Otherwise the wife is POA and she knows that I don't want to live if I am blind, crippled or crazy.

Edit: scratch the last line. She thinks I am blind since I cannot find things by myself, crippled because I have sudden onsets of crippling issues when I ahve to do something I dislike and crazy all the time.

Seriously, she knows I am to be let go if I were to be bedridden or something serious happen to me. Yes, others say you can lead a full life, blah, blah, blah but if I were crippled, she knows that I want comfort measures and to be let go.

Confusing.
Very confusing indeed. It might be a New Jersey thing, you never know.

[QUOTE=aklim;1259806]Please keep me in mind when you get any free money or stuff. I'll take it off your hands. Personally, I have spent free money (nothing is really free in real life) and spent my own earnt money. My analysis leads me to believe that given and earned money spends the same way, has the same value and is really indistinguishable from each other.

I think that his scolarship is going to whomever who meets certain criteria. Personally, I don't care how needy the person is or how not needy they are. I'd rather it go to the most likely to succeed.

On a lighter note:

A few years ago I was talking to my oldest daughter and I told her that, under no circumstances, would I want to be kept hooked to a "machine." I told her that if no one else in the family would pull the plug, I would want her to do it.

She looked at me and said:

"Oh Dad, you know I could NEVER pull the plug on you."

I was surprised by her sudden expression of love, of all my kids she is the most practical one.

But then, without missing a beat she said:

"Nah, I'll hook you up to the clapper...'Clap On' 'Clap Off' and just watch you sit up on your bed and then fall flat back again.

Nothing like a daughter's love.

My wife wants the same thing as I do. A tube for breathing is fine if it is temporary. If not, I am to pull the plug. I told her that until I get the recipies for her food, she is going nowheres. We will keep her alive forever or till I get her recipies since I am finicky about what my food tastes like.

This seems to have very little, if anything, to do with my quoted comment.

Scolarships should go to people that NEED them.

A tatoo is a permanent reminder of a temporary feeling(thanks Jimmy Buffet), unless you spend big $$$ on laser removal.

I'd rather give something to someone who has a good chance of making it rather than just because they need it. However, all things being equal, need comes into play.

Not necessarily. I worked my ass off for those scholarships by not partying at all while I was constantly hitting the books. The needy are the ones that usually don't do as well in school anyway. They usually come from inferior grammar schools and are less likely to succeed. Do any of you know about Social Darwinism? Those needy kids are like that for a reason....bad genetics. LOL. Boy do I love talking stupid in here, I just dug myself a huge hole.
