WTF is wrong with MN people???

I was driving thru MN from WI to SD. On the way there, I pulled off to a rest stop. Got in and there was somebody washing himself down with a towel at the sink. OK. Whatever. Went in to do my business and when I was done, I was about to wash my hands and I saw him washing his privates in the sink. He saw me and asked if I wanted to use the sink. I just said "No! I think I am good" and walked out. Saw his car had MN plates.

OK. Got down with SD and was on the way back at a truck stop. I was washing the grease off my hands from the hitch. Saw a guy walk in with a box of KFC. Well, whatever. He went into a stall. Heard some slurping. OK. Went to take a dump and came out to wash my hands. Saw this guy come out of the stall with a pile of bones. Evidently the KFC was sooo good that he had to eat it while taking a dump. Guess stuff goes in one end and comes out the other.

Next time I think I will avoid MN. Must be a full moon or something.

Am I being wierd or are these 2 incidences frightening??

In a public bathroom in the middle of the day? I guess I am not that hung up on hygene. Still, it was scary to see someone washing his privates in a public sink.

He was bringing the KFC into and eating it while dumping. Maybe he needed some extra flavor on the chicken because the Colonel didn't give enough spices. Not sure I will be able to eat KFC for a while

Once while driving cab in Seattle, Sam Schulmann, the owner of the Seattle SuperSonics at the time, walked out of the Westin Hotel and got in my cab.

It was a short trip up to the Sonics office but I had time to advise him to draft Jo Jo White instead of Lucius Allen, who was renowned primarily for having played with Lew Alcindor, aka Karreem Jabbar, at UCLA. He thanked me for the advice, said they had guys looking it over. They took Allen, 3rd pick overall -- he washed out after a couple of years -- Jo Jo White was a starter and integral part of the Boston Celtics for about 10 years, and we could have got him.

Oh yeah, I brought this up because my very next fare, sitting in the same spot in the back seat, was the roughest, sorryist looking wino I'd seen in a month or two, complete with fresh wounds on his face. He did have cab fare, however.

Point being, they's high and low ever-where.

It sound like you found a nice truck stop which is pretty typical across the country, you have never heard of a "trucker bath"?

i remember my first trip to the indy five hundred when i was about 12 with my dad.

on the way out we stopped at the marathon station across from the track on georgetown rd to go to the bathroom. the guys who had had too much to drink were using every receptical in the place to pee.... including three grouped around the sink.

later i said " what was with those guys dad"? he said "they have been drinking son".

oh yeah i remember asking him about all the fellows sleeping in odd position prior to the start of the race in the infiield. he said they had been drinking too.

i decided that drinking made you do really stupid things and didnt do it at all .... til i got in college.... and did my fair share of stupid things.

did i ever tell you about the time i rode a motorcycle into a barbed wire fence? margueritas were involved.

later

Would your answer be different if a little kid had walked in while said hygiene-freak had been washig his nether regions in the sink?

Public restroom are scary places indeed.

This thread and the Stephen Wright thread are the two funniest threads we've had in a long time.

Go to the restrooms in Penn Station at night

During the day Pennsylvania station is a very busy commuter hub for NYC. The bathrooms are teeming with people. At night things really change. The homeless come out. I have seen everything from passed out guys, gay guys in the middle of oral sex, piss and poop everywhere you can imagine, but I have never seen a guy washing his privates in the sink.

I think this is a new low. I guess that guy really does have some set of balls. I couldn't imagine dropping my pants and washing like that in a place where it is not supposed to be happening. But then I avoid most of those truck stops because they are disgusting. The state rest areas can be hit or miss.
