I read an article the other day that said Pella windows were perhaps the best windows ever made by man. In fact, this guy on Huffpost said he felt that they were so good that they probably used alien technology.

It has to be true.

I wouldn't disbelieve it seeing how them Repub's. paid media hosts to sphew their party line. But then again I'd like to see some evidence in order to believe it. You would think software for electronic ballots would have to be registered and verified for accuracy before being implemented. Wouldn't you?

you know what i think i saw that article! but then said pshhht...this other article about Anderson Windows says they use 24th century star trek technology and emits a forcefield instead of using glass panes!

This guy said several things that are incorrect. First you can decompile any program to get back to its source so just because its compiled does not mean anything is hidden.

actually they have some problems in my experience. i have seen several examples of them coming apart because the lower edge of the panes leaks water down into the parent wood inside the cladding. so i recommend against pella.

i have for many years used a lot of andersen. but if they are a subsidiary of haliburton ....well yikes!

You can decompile a program down to "a" source. Not "its" source. It certainly won't be very readable, and that's assuming that only an optimizer was used in the compiler back-end. Consider if they use an obfuscator.

It's not impossible to deciper such things, but it's not easy at all. Since there's a lead time for this (say, from the software release date until the election), making it hard is enough.

It is the same old mistake. News organizations are not information services; they are marketing and PR organizations. They sell labels. One minute they are selling you Kleenex and the next minute they are selling you Patriot Act. Labels, not products, not information.

People keep making the mistake that the news services are there to inform you and they are not. For example, General Electric owns NBC. You will not hear anything on NBC that puts your interests ahead of the interests of General Electric or any of their affiliates.
