The turk looks good but I don't have time to tinker.

Maybe I'll look into a torpedo. I'll have to find a safe, out of the way to put it. One thing I haven't mentioned is my barn is my antique shop and I'll have the general public wandering around. You would be amazed what parents let their kids do. Don't want to get started on that. Thats a whole other thread.

My main goal is to find a heat source that doesn't require a chimney so my options are limited.

Cheers,

Bill

actually, the flame is only huge if you swirl the fuel around, causing it to mushroom out then do a ring of flame ... and you can carry a conversation onver it, we were

After looking into it, the only way I would ever dedicate that much time to that type of project is if I was fully retired. It is truly a hobby that doesn't provide any monetary and little in the satisfaction department benefit (to me). I saw ya'lls turk over on that other forum, btw.

I buy it at earth biofuels and have in the past bought it at the grocery store

I think you'd have to build a 'fireplace' of some sort or it wouldn't hold any heat and would radiate it all upwards. btw, I live in a mild climate and use a nonvented set of gas logs without touching the furnace until December, but they were about $650 and my house is like a vault being stucco and plaster.

There are Kerosene, and LP radiant heaters that are whisper quiet, but their output is not like that of a torpedo.
The Kerosene ones aren't multifuel though, #1 oils only.
