Very well. What goes on in the classroom...

Over 300 schools in AZ have failed to meet the Feds proficiency levels in english and math this year. Up from 247 last year. Not surprising when the student body is largely illegal, doesn't speak english and doesnt particularly want to either, from what I see on a daily basis. (I work in the school district too though I'm not a teacher thank god.) With 8th graders speaking english at a 2nd grade level education becomes a farce.

I suspect this is similar to what goes on in NC, except that it's on a much larger scale here and despite your fond imaginings to the contrary most teachers and anglos in AZ do not in fact speak spanish, nor should they have to. This is not Mexico yet.

I agree (and I am a Hispanic immigrant).

Learn to speak, write and read English or go back.

And this has nothing to do with being racist or bigoted, it is for their own good.
