Am I a bad person?

Ok, since I live about 3 blocks from school, and REFUSE to walk, I give my friends, who live on my street on my street a ride to, and from school (4 kids)

Today, one of my friends asked if we had room in the car for another... I said sure, just put your backpacks in the trunk.

During the walk to my car, the new girl said she had fun at lunch... I asked why, and she said, "o, we were keying cars"

I stopped mid stride, and said, what the hell, whos car?

She said "o, just random cars, not yours"... I said everybody else get in the car, except you... You're walking. You key cars, theres no way in hell you're riding in mine

They all know eachother, so they walked (and are still walking) home...

Was I in the wrong? I'm a NICE person, I just refuse to give rides to people with NO respect for other peoples property...

This girl, who I've never met before, is black... I know it's not a issue, but I bet she'll start calling me a racist now (wtf, hmong girlfriend, but I'm a racist)

I suspect my car will be keyed also, because of this...

Did I act approprietly? Should I have taken the torque wrench out of my trunk, and smashed it over her head with it?

Should I tell the administration, or wait untill it happens to my car?

plz help
~Nate

You stuck up for what you believe in even though it would have been easier to say nothing and pretend it didn't happen. Good for you!

Yeah, your car probably will get keyed. You might want to reconsider your position on walking, at least for a little while...

Before saying anything about it to whoever it is who's in authority, you should try to find out who's cars were keyed. Or at least be certain it actually did happen, and she wasn't blowing smoke. Without specific info. they may not be able to do much, if anything, about it.

I can assure you that no admitted car-keyer will ever be invited for a ride in my car...

I'm lazy, and allthough there's no rust, the paint's got some skuffs, and scrapes. I'm REALLY good with touchup paint... unless it's down to metal

yeah, I know... but o well

I'm thinking I reacted a bit too kindly... Shouldnt have let her off so easy...

Wont be giving her a ride home, even if it's -20... she can walk, or ride the bus (she's on the route, I think)

Had insomnia last night and ended up watching "The Fountainhead" 1949 - Gary Cooper... super bad acting but a riviting recap of the book...
You're a regular Howard Roark. A man of principals. The question is how long can you hold on to them... what price are you willing to pay to keep them?

Yes, it seems easy when you're young...but then before you know it, you've done screwed up.

What color is it? I find that the MB#587 touchup paint I have is darker than the paint on my car, possibly due to 22 years of sun that the touchup paint hasn't been exposed to.

Anonymous phone call to the school. You know they keyed shiney cars and it probably got reported. Coward's way out? Yeah, but this is high school and they will get him and he has already said here that he doesn't want to fight (nothing wrong with that).

Well why do you think she should walk? Don't you think she could absorb more about being nice to cars if she hangs out with you? She's not the enemy, just misguided, and if you have the chance to win her trust why not do it? You might be surprised how easily you can sway someone once they feel confident and secure around you. For example, after sex and a cigarette, all it might take is a simple mention that keying cars is wrong.

mabey I just "think" i'm good with touchup paint... I'm colorblind...

Title says it's burgandy/maroon, I dont question it... It's got some horriably repaired rock chips that I need to take care of (viguarious hand buffing with mequires #7? buffing compound... tan bottle)

yeah, I think I did mostly the good thing... guess the question IS what am I going to pay for it? I'm a nice person, but mess with my car, and I'll nail you the wall if I can find you... No man/woman/child excluded, within reason...

If it gets keyed, I'm asking the principal what he'd do, even If I cant prove who did it... if it's too light, I'll confrount her about it, and possiably get my uncles neibor (a cop) to write up a report)

"previous conflict with said person, who's known for this type of behabiour" Would that look good on a police report or what?

yeah, I'll wait and see what happens next. If I see her, what should I say?

she's NOT my type of person... If I had known my friend whated me to give "her" a ride home, I wouldnt have... she just said "can you give my friend a ride?"

P.S. I wouldnt be the first, I think I'd be in the near 30's, possiably 40's... with different persons, not including multipul times....

Drug whore is the "technical" term IMHO... yeah... most likely shouldnt have gone there, but there's no way I'd want to be next in line at her watering hole

Maybe you should mention this to the principal before anything happens to your car. Then, if it does gets keyed, you'll be in a much better position to get something done about it.

I get very upset with people who do things like that. I tend to look at my possessions as symbols of my own hard work. Therefore, I take it pretty personally when somebody screws around with them.

It's easy at your age to go along with the crowd. Standing up for what's right takes character. Maybe you could talk to this girl and explain to her why you feel the way you do, if you haven't already.

I wouldn't ever talk to her again if I didn't have to. Are these kids you take to school friends with her? May want to revisit the whole ride thing in general. Talk to the prinicpal--either anonymously or in person--whatever you feel comfortable with. As far as if she approaches you??? I would tell her, "sorry, I don't consort with trash."
