My Good Deed For The Day-

In an ever increasing time when people are in a hurry to get to work or other destination, I was wondering how many of you out there stopped to do good deeds along the way? Please let us know what you did.

Mine for today- I was walking to work and this guy comes flying into the parking lot driving a BMW with smoke a blazzing from under the hood and hot liquid spewing from underneath. I stopped and asked if he needed any help and he looked startled as if someone would stop, he gave me this odd look and then said :"No, but thanks for asking lady."

That was only an attempted good deed. Today's good deed still lies ahead.

I thought for a minute...

...while I took a deep breath...

...and then exhaled.

I asked someone if they needed help changing a flat this morning. . . .

. . . . I don't know what they said, though. I had already rolled up my window and was driving away before they could answer.

In this day and age, I never stop to see if they need help...unless it's a wreck.

There's too many weired folk out there ready to take advantage of you.

Call it in on your cell phone if it looks like help is required.

Be careful out there people.

My wife was recently in a situation where she found a parking spot downtown but had no change for the meter. She got out and started asking people passing by if they could make change for a dollar, and they all looked away and side-stepped her.

I guess she looked like a terrorist. :fork_off:

Everyone should know that if someone is unresponsive, there is implied consent for you to try and help them.

Good Samaritan laws also protect you to a degree. All in all I like to think I would choose to help someone if it appeared they needed it. If they want to sue me, shame on them. I think it's pretty unlikely and I'm willing to take my chances.

And speaking of helping people, you should learn CPR if you don't know it!

There was that time I witnessed a motorcycle accident and I put the cyclists head in my lap until the paramedics arrived...
