I'm supposed to pick up a Com-Pac 16 sailboat tomorrow, good condition, good trailer, needs a new mast. The boat is out of production but the manufacturer is around so I guess I'll call them and try to locate a mast. Haven't shared this news tidbit with my wife yet, I wonder what she's going to say?!

Try the marine liquidator sites operating on the Gulf Coast. Compac 16 was probably the most popular day sailor ever built. I have seen whole rigs for $900, so you ought to be able to get a mast for a song from a damaged boat. Check this out:
