I drove a BENTLEY yesterday!!!!!

As some of you know I'm the GM of a local Harley dealership. Some of our customers have WAY more money than they know what to do with, so they buy lots of expensive toys!!! A customer I hadn't seen in a few years came in yesterday driving a 2006 Bentley Continental GT and wanted to take me for a drive. I can't explain the power and luxery of this car......W12 twin turbo, 550hp, 491 lb ft of torque, all wheel drive and a top speed of 200mph!!! One the way back he asked if i would like to drive and of course I said yes!!! I am now completely geeked about this car.......I still have wood from the drive!!! Just thought I'd make some of you green with envy.

Nate, I have a hard time even putting into words what that car was like!!! It was so rock steady at 100 plus I could hardly beleave I was going that fast!!! Oh, and talk about incredible brakes.......WOW!!!! I hope someday you get behind the wheel of one, it will change your whole perception of what a car should be like.

Those GT's are so common where I live, we call them the Hyundai's under the super cars. BTW saw a convertible GT the other day in La Jolla, didn't look that great with the top up. But it must be awesome to go 190mph with the top down!

I think I have to get serious with my live and start making some serious money...

There a are a few of those buzzing around in my area, they look pretty good. One of the guys at the marina is really into them and has a bunch of older ones, bought a GT last year. Its a nice car, I don't care if its gut some VW guts.

That is funny, the Hyundai's of super cars. On a relative scale $185,000 is a cheap car compared to he Murcielagos and 612's driving around. I have seen as many as 5-6 Continental GT's in one day but there's always one tooling around Staples center on the way home from work.

They don't howl like a Ferrari can.

The low-end torque on Bentlys is hard to describe,, like getting a push start from God.

Yup, I'm envious!!

I saw a Nissan 350-Z in Virginia today being driven by a man who looked to be in his fifties.

The personalized liscense plate said it all:

Too bad it's almost anemic compared to the twin-turbo V12 Mercedes engines. I too will be sending my ECU & TCU to Renntech very soon. Instead of close to 600 lb-ft of torque, I'll have over 740 lb-ft of torque with stage 1 ECU.
