it is not about consent to me.

it is about the trust that is placed with teachers.

kindof like a lawyer stealing from an estate trust. if he does that he loses his right to be a lawyer, right?

teachers abusing the trust placed in them risk the same thing.

now once they graduate and reach the age of consent, ok.

next question is what about a teacher in a different school district boinking an 18 year old. legal. probably wouldnt lose the job either.
