Unfortunately early Com-Pac's had some steel thrown in with the concrete, in my case it looks like scrap from some sort of stamping operation, the pieces got wet at some point, rusted, swelled, and not only broke-up the concrete, but must have frozen and split the outer hull on the port side of the keel. What a mess!

It’s a tradition even your dad went through, girl. Get ready for it.
I'll be there! I never heard about that tradition. I look forward to meeting you, John, you and Mrs WVOtoGO.

Many a pilot school wall have been covered with the torn, signed and dated remains of the students shirt after solo. Was really big in the 70s for sure. Many instructional facilities still do it. We do, without getting too carried away. (We often tell them to just bring an old t-shirt that day.)

Most folks we do any training with already have a license. We do some add ons. (Glider, Turbine, Some war bird signoffs. DJ does aerobatic training as well.)

The pond/fountain thing is a military tradition from way back.

Just some fun to mark the occasion. If you’re a pilot, you remember the day of your first solo I’m sure. For many that’s quite a big deal.

Whatever -
Just don’t get anything that might interfere with the travel limits of the control yoke.

I took a gal up in the Aerobat one time who was so “endowed” that she could only work the elevator and ailerons. If we moved the seat up to where she could reach the rudder pedals, the yoke only gave us about 25% up elevator. (And it wasnt because she was short.)
Not a good thing.

She had a good sense of humor. And we do have some pictures around here somewhere. I’ll try to dig them out. Pretty funny, really. But she’d have to fly a stick if she wanted to become a pilot.
Even then......

Oh yeah I have seen that! Spring for lead if you can next time around. A bucket of lead and some more concrete should work better.

My spring projects are to work on the SDL some more, redo my room. I'm going to do a bit of traveling as well. Should be fun.

Oh. I see.

Actually - If we had the seat set to where she could go full deflect on the rudder (or apply the brakes). We would not have been able to get off the ground. I, for one, am not a big fan of wind powered go-carts on short tracks.

Don’t think “Big” boobs here. Think “HUGE”. “SCARY HUGE!!”

The interactive software and videos are awesome! Not bad for $300.
I’ll second that. A good deal at $300.00

You may want to check with your IP and flight center first. See what they recommend. After all - They'll be signing you off. (Not that you'll need that for your PPW exam. But they can drag out your training if you don't make them happy.)

Not to mention - a lot easier on the ears than John and Martha King.
(Martha has that “nails on a chalkboard” thing going.)

But, if you still want all these tapes. Just ask.
DJ says “Borrow ? Just give the bloody things to her.”
