You're right. I got to thinking, "does 'it's' also mean it was?" That's what I claimed above. Didn't sound right to me in any mental tests, and just a minute ago on a post I wrote "it's" for "it has" and it makes sense. Sure enough, m-w.com lists "it is" and "it has" for "it's."

Hey man, all sorts of experimental evidence indicates that you lose points in various endeavors like job applications or on a job from poor grammar, spelling, etc.

Good grammar is worth money.
