Troubleshooting Electronic Ignition
Hello Guys;
I have a 2000 Hyunday Elantra 2.0 L 16V with 39,000 Miles with the following problem. The engine has a misfired spark plug and after check condition of the spark plugs and cables I found out that one output of the coil pack is not delivering high voltage or is not working. The other three outputs is working fine. As it is an electronic system I am wondering if the ignition coil is bad or if some other device in the system is not working properly. Before buy another ignition coil I am submitting this subject for appreciation of many experimented people on this forum. I heard the electronic injection and ignition use proximity switches on crankshaft to detect cylinders on the firing order and send the signal to a computer. Can the ignition coil pack have only one section working bad? Your feedback will be really appreciated. Thanks. Nyck

If that is coil/over system, move the pak and see if code follows..
That is a generic answer , as I am not Hyunday specific experienced |
