Forget style, I'm asking about the fit, form, and function. Do they fit in the hole and seal up correctly? Are they the right shape? Do they put out the right amount of light when turned on/activated?

Jim, I never did get around to buying them. Probably wouldn't hurt to take a chance on them since they aren't too expensive, but I just had too many other projects and stuck with the plain old boring lights. Maybe someday I'll toy around with it.
rs899, I agree with you to some extent, although I think there are plenty of smoked tail lamps that still incorporate red and look very red when on. CDs on the mirror drive me nuts ... nothing like getting a flash of sun reflection right in your retina while trying to make a lefthand turn. And dogs on the lap, being as I am an animal person, is a big no-no. Even if you aren't going very fast and don't get in a major accident, it doesn't take much to seriously injure your dog if you have to come to a sudden stop. The airbag would kill him/her. As for cell phones ... people who don't use common sense while using a cell phone in a car are probably not going to use common sense anyway. They've probably been causing stupid accidents since long before cell phones were invented.
